As a young man Bob Lanphere Sr. had a tremendous passion for motorcycles and the freedom, adventures and camaraderie they helped create in his life and for those around him that shared his passion. Bob Sr. was an accomplished motorcycle racer, enjoying the competition and friendships he made along the way, not to mention the feeling of victory when he won and the knowledge he gained when he didn't.
Bob's passion and his competitive spirit inspired him to open (his first dealership) Beaverton Honda® in 1964, and what has now become Beaverton Motorcycles successfully operating in their 60th year in business. Although Bob Lanphere Sr is no longer with us his passion, competitive spirit and love of people burns deeply within his Son Bob Lanphere Jr. who runs the business today and continues to support the community with the same mission and spirit his Father introduced in 1964.
Today Beaverton Motorcycles (BMC) is an authorized dealership for twelve powersports brands including Honda®, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, Polaris®, ZERO, Stark Varg and others. We have the largest service department in the Pacific NW with 14 certified technicians, an awesome waiting lounge in a 38,000 square foot dedicated service facility. We also have a huge selection of parts for all powersport brands along with a dynamic offering of gear and apparel from manufactures such as Klim, Fly, Fox, Alpinestars, Bell Helmets, Garmin, Arai, Oakley and so much more. BMC is also heavily into motorcycle racing, supporting national flat track racer Davis Fisher along with a 10+ rider Motocross team you can see every week at Thursday Night Motocross.
