Motorcycle Test Drive Information at Our Dealership

So you’re interested in a new motorcycle, ATV, side-by-side, or personal watercraft but want to try it out before you buy.

We commend you for making a smart purchase decision, but how exactly should you proceed?

Allow us to explain the process in detail.

How Do I Test Ride a Motorcycle At Beaverton Motorcycles?

First, you should contact us to arrange a date and time for this grand occasion. Upon your arrival, one of our amazing product specialists will introduce you to the vehicle, or vehicles, that interest you.

Personal Watercraft & Jet Ski Test Rides

As we’re landlocked in Tigard, it’s unfortunately impossible to “wet your whistle” on a personal watercraft.

Other Test Rides

Additionally, we reserve the right to limit “Liter” vehicles, like 1000cc+ high-end sportbikes, to ensure the safety of our riders.

As a final caveat, we’ll do what we can to let adults try out off-road vehicles by limiting test rides of dirt bikes, ATVs, and side-by-sides to the parking lot as space and traffic safely permits.

Preparing for Your Motorcycle Test Ride

Once you’re ready, we will gather a few bits of information and adjust the bike to your preferred specs. We will set the suspension based on your weight and desired riding position to ensure a comfortable fit.

The test ride route features curves and relatively low-traffic lanes, so you can enjoy the ride and get a good feel for cornering. If you’re not ready for a test ride in normal traffic, don’t sweat it. We'd be happy to set you up with a test ride experience in our parking lot.

After your test ride, we will go over your bike purchase options so you have all the information you need to make an educated buying decision. To save time at our dealership, we encourage Beaverton and Portland shoppers to get pre-approved for financing through our online finance application.

What Do I Need To Bring to My Motorcycle Test Ride?

We won’t let you ride without a U.S. driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement handy. We also require you to have proof of and carry vehicle insurance to cover you in the event something happens on the test ride.

Furthermore, you should come prepared with long pants, long sleeves or a riding jacket, a solid pair of closed-toed shoes, eye protection, gloves, and a helmet. If you don’t own a helmet or a jacket, we can lend you a set.

Lastly, and arguably most importantly, come with a sense of adventure and fun!
